SHOP ASSISTANT

We are currently looking to expand our full time staff of shop assistants and are looking for candidates with experience in set building, scenic painting, and/or metal work. If you have experience in any of these areas, enjoy working in a collaborative and artistically rewarding environment, then send us your resume and some pictures of your work! Shop assistants work directly with our fabricators to complete production tasks, as well as our department heads to maintain all our shop spaces.

Able to drive a 24' box truck

Confident with math and measurements

Comfortable in loud shop environment

Able to lift and carry 60lbs

Able to kneel and bend

Comfortable working on ladders or at height

Safety awareness

Able to work effectively with others in a team setting as well as independently

Good communication skills

Able to follow directions

Willing and able to clean and keep a tidy workspace

Able to multi task and meet daily/weekly goals

Focused

Detail oriented while not losing sight of the bigger picture

Creative problem solver

Artistically inclined

Able to operate hand tools effectively

Looking to expand their skills

Previous woodshop experience desired

Painting skills with a variety of application techniques and tools desired

Experience sculpting/carving at a large scale would be a bonus

Starting Pay - hourly 24-26 DOE

Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental benefits, 401K match +PTO days

Schedule: FULL TIME - M-F 30-40 hours a week (occasional weekend work required) Typical hours are 8am-4pm

Overtime: time-and-a-half for hours over 40 per week
