About Haskett Works: Haskett Works is a premier custom fabrication and design studio in Seattle Washington. We build highly creative experiential activations, pop-ups, trade shows, and custom retail environments for major brands and creative agencies. Situated in the heart of Georgetown, Seattle's oldest neighborhood, our small and growing team (15 full time) of artists, craftspeople, and designers work to produce creative and elaborate scenery for some of the largest global brands, such as Pokemon GO, Nike, Apple, Adidas, Amazon, Red Bull, and Microsoft to name a few. 

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of custom fabrication projects across our portfolio. This work includes: live entertainment, props and scenery, retail & brand activations, museums, and more. As a Project Manager, you will be paired 1-to-1 with a dedicated Technical Designer, Your partner handles the CAD drafting, CNC file prep, shop build packets and serves and the bridge between you and the fabrication departments. Your sole mission is to steer the ship: drive the client relationship, own the budget, protect project margins, and ensure on-time delivery of high quality scenery to clients all over the country.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management, acting as the primary point of contact for creative agencies and corporate brands from project hand-off to final delivery.

  • Develop project plans, estimates, and budgets. Track project margins in real-time, and proactively manage scope creep through change orders.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution

  • Research, procure, and manage materials, products, and services

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including budgets, schedules, Run-of-shows, etc.

  • Conduct on-site visits to oversee production or installation as needed

  • Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, and co-workers

Qualifications / Skills / Requirements

  • Project management and leadership experience in a deadline-based environment

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills

  • Advanced organizational, multitasking and time management abilities

  • The ability to problem-solve, keep a cool head, and adapt under the pressure of tight, unmovable event deadlines.

  • High level understanding of custom fabrication methods (metals, carpentry, plastics, painting / finishing, etc), production processes, and industry standards specific to scenery and props.

  • High computer literacy 

  • Knowledge in CAD software is a huge plus (We use Sketchup) 

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field (e.g., project management, theater production, design, or business)

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, in a related industry

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • This is not a remote position

  • Work is primarily performed in an office setting adjacent to our fabrication shop

  • Occasional visits to client sites or production venues

  • Requires moderate physical activity, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines or as install schedules require.

Benefits and Compensation

  • Salary range based on experience, with a range of $80,000 – $90,000 to start
